The Lithgow Valley Film Society is screening a classic movie this week titled 'Paris Blues' (1961, PG), starring Paul Newman, Joanna Woodward, Dihann Carroll, Sidney Poitier and Louis Armstrong.

The offbeat account of jazz musicians (Newman and Poitier) in Left Bank Paris, romancing tourists (Woodward and Carroll) is highlighted by a great Duke Ellington score, including the explosive 'Battle Royal' number. The film is a must for all jazz fans.
It will be screened from the original 35mm print on Friday, May 17 at 10.30am and Sunday, May 19 at 2pm.
