The show features outstanding artworks from the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and will go on display at Blue Mountains Cultural Centre in Katoomba from May 11.
Lithgow High School's Sophie Inzitari will have her work featured in the exhibition.
The piece, titled 'Written on the Wind (Tribute to Alexander Calder)', is made of acrylic sheet and timber, and uses fans to make the artwork gently move.
"The work required a great deal of experimentation, particularly to arrange the electrical fans in a way that would allow the acrylic pieces making up the mosaic to ripple," Sophie said.
"My body of work is a tribute to the artmaking practice of American sculptor Alexander Calder, who has been called the father of kinetic art. I also drew inspiration from the wind-powered kinetic sculptures of Anthony Howe and Theo Jansen."
