Year 10 students Kade Inwood and Zeke Evans were selected as part of the Open Western Region team after a selection process at West Wylong.
The State CHS Championships was held at Bathurst over three days, with the Western Region finishing fifth overall.
The team had a tough first day, going down to South Coast (70-47) and Sydney East (82-44).

On day two, the Western Region won out over Riverina (60-42) and North Coast (69-65).
The team went on to play Sydney North in the finals, playing off for fifth and sixth position, which they won.
Lithgow High School is also celebrating the success of their hockey players, with six boys and two girls selected for the Western Region hockey teams.
Congratulations to Tom Luchetti, Mitchell Thompson, Logan McManus, Ryan Neil and Dane Houlison, who to play in Albury on May 21, 22 and 23.
Chloe Robinson and Kelsey White will represent the school in Sydney from June 18-20.
