Katrina Abbott, Boolina, Wambool, only established her Corriedale stud in 2016 and has a flock of 15 ewes.
Her winning ram was picked from the six ram lambs she bred and had been out working prior to his Sydney debut.
The reserve grand champion ram title went to another local stud: Glen Esk from Rydal.
It is not the first time Katrina has taken home honours at the Royal Easter Show. As a Year 12 student at Lithgow High School, Katrina won the handlers competition for 14 to 20-year-olds.
It was an improvement on her second place finish in 2017.
The grand champion ewe title went the way of the Roseville stud, Kingsvale, much to their surprise. The ewe had been shown at Canberra but hadn't gained much attention in her previous showings.
