Lithgow lighthorseman Gary Johnson and his snowy mountains high country brumby 'Buggar' will be attending the Lithgow Anzac Day service on Thursday, April 25.

Mr Johnson will be laying a wreath at the memorial in Queen Elizabeth Park on behalf of the Australian Light Horse Association, honouring the men and horses of the Australian Light Horse.
Mr Johnson's grandfather Alfred served in the forth light horse regiment at Gallipoli and in the Middle East.
He was one of the 800 light horsemen to participate in the last ever successful mounted charge in times of war, the light horse charge at Beersheba Palestine on October, 31 in 1917.
They conducted a mounted infantry charge with bayonets as their only weapon for the mounted attack.
