Egan, who has played for the Panthers since 2018, will be starting in the role of hooker after recovering from a concussion.
The Panthers squad will be looking for a lift against the Sharks at PointsBet Stadium on Thursday, April 18.
"Our challenge right now is to produce a performance that capable of winning, I feel we can do that," Coach Ivan Cleary told the media ahead of the match.
"We need to play better in quite a few areas."
The Panthers are currently 11th on the NRL ladder, after two wins and three losses so far. They went down 30-24 to the Titans on April 12 after a narrow 9-8 win over the West Tigers the previous week.
