Known as the best 'little' club in the Central West, the Wallerawang Community and Sports Club is inviting everyone in the community to join them in celebrating Anzac Day. General Manager, Steve Jackson, said that the day is a day for remembrance and for recognising the sacrifices made. "Anzac Day is always an important day for the people in Wallerawang but also across Australia. Around here the day is an opportunity for everyone to get together and enjoy the mateship that small communities provide".

Formerly known as the Wallerawang Bowling Club, the club has been part of the local community since the 1970's. Last year the club spent over $40,000 supporting various community groups and sporting organisations including:
- Lithgow City Rangers Soccer Club
- Wallerawang/Lidsdale Progress Association
- Lidsdale Lions Cricket Club
- Wallerawang Public School
- Wallerawang Junior Rugby League
- Wallerawang Baseball Raptors/Isotopes Teams
- Wallerawang Netball Team
- Wallerawang Junior Soccer
Steve said that it is that community spirit that will be celebrated on Anzac Day. "We are expecting a good crowd given it's the perfect chance to come down and have a beer and catch up with friends," he said. "We are opening at 11.30am, with the junior sports clubs running two-up for us throughout the day starting at midday".
