John Chadwick backed up his win last week to take out the Lithgow Golf Club Mt Piper Plate scratch title while newcomer Josh Newman secured the handicap section of the event.

Chadwick has been one of the form golfers for a long period and his consistency always sees him contention.
He shot a one under par 71 to count out club champion Andrew Burton who also finished on 71.
With no preferred lies off the fairways it was difficult which gave golfers some nasty lies their scores are all the more impressive.
Josh Newman is a relatively newcomer to competition golf and finished with an excellent 66 nett to win the handicap plate.
In conjunction to the major event there were also grade competitions in a, b and c grades. (Chadwick and Newman not eligible).

Winner of A grade was Anthony Oldfield on 69 counting out runner up Gary Wallace. Andrew Burton shot the best scratch score with a 71.
B grade went to Gary Keen on 71 nett with the runner up being Daniel Buckens one shot back on 72. Shane Monaghan took out the scratch with 85 ocb.
C grade champion Robert "Darky" Millar was at his best again to add another win to his list with 68 nett with Gary Marshall one back on 69 nett. John Griffiths had the best scratch score with 92.
Nearest the pins went to Greg Hunter, Brian Judge, Ben Oldfield, John Chadwick and Gary Marshall.
Those to figure in the ball competition were Harry Bender, Max Nightingale, Steve Hall, Michael Hunter, Dean Stafford, Frank Mantle and Justin McCann. Balls cut out on 73 nett.
The big events Keen on coming at the Lithgow Golf Club with a three person ambrose on Good Friday followed by the Easter tournament on Saturday (April 20).
Friday competition:
Winner was Don Farnsworth who came in with the good score of 30 points.
Runner up was Paul Stewart on 29 points.
Ball winners were Riley Allan, Trevor Cameron, Brandon Lloyd, Jeff Geddes and Ben Futcher.
