Mitchell Conservatorium has teamed up with Keystone 1889 [formerly known as Carrington House] and Cosventure to stage a community event celebrating the world of Harry Potter.
The event, called Harry Potter and the Keystone Feast, will see Keystone 1889 transform into Hogwarts' Great Hall in order to provide an authentic feast for fans of the fantasy series.
In addition, the Mitchell Orchestra will be performing some of the finest compositions present in the Harry Potter films.
"We want to capture the essence of Harry Potter and showcase the brilliance of the series' score in an interactive way," Mitchell Conservatorium publicity officer Lauren Hagney said.
"Rather than having the audience sit in a concert hall and watch an orchestra, this event allows people to dress up as their favourite characters and immerse themselves in the festivities."
The event is part of the conservatorium's initiative to present musical events to the community in interactive and innovative ways.
Last year saw the conservatorium host an event on the lawn of the Bathurst Court House celebrating the music of Disney films.
"All these fantastic film scores that most people know and love are recorded with an orchestra, and these events allow the community to feel like they're more involved in proceedings," Ms Hagney said.
Keystone 1889 owner Trish Carr is excited to see how the community embraces the venue for the event.
"When Lauren got in contact about the desire to stage this event, we jumped at the opportunity straight away," Ms Carr said.

Tickets were released for the event last Wednesday and within 24 hours, a quarter had already been sold.
"I do advise people to book tickets as soon as possible and we can't for everyone to join us for a magical evening," Ms Hagney said.
The event is scheduled for June 29. Tickets are available online.
