This book is about the spectrum of walking opportunities around Newnes that can be accomplished in a day trip.
The town of Newnes provides one of the most accessible entry points into the spectacular and wild Wollemi National Park, part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. What sets this region apart is the amazing and unique geology, history, flora and remote pristine places. And yet it is located within a couple of hours drive from Sydney and a short trip from Lithgow.
The book features spectacular lookouts, cliffs, rock formations, slots, passes, caves, overhangs, rainforest ravines, ledges and traverses, as well as a concise history of the Wolgan Valley.
With over 3,300 bushwalks behind them, Michael Keats, Brian Fox and Yuri Bolotin take you on adventure after adventure exploring the hidden gems of the Wollemi National Park.
Michael, Brian and Yuri will speak about their adventures during the event and show photographs of some of the locations in the book.
