Elyse Hudson and Emma Martin represented their respective towns as they competed against 17 other girls for the title.
The girls had a 15 minute interview with judges, Sue Hood, Karen Bailey and Joseph Murphy before the girls, last years winners, the masters of ceremony and the coordinator of the day went to a lunch at 'Augustines'.
The girls then had the ball at Parklands Resort and Function Centre, where they had to answer questions on stage.
Miss Martin was asked "how do you find it working as a rouseabout all over NSW and usually being the only female in your workplace?" and "You are the youngest Vice President the Rydal show society has ever had, you've brought in some big projects, could you tell us about them?"
Miss Martin said she had met many amazing young ladies with different backgrounds and career choices but they had the same community spirit and passion for agriculture.
"If nothing else at least we all came away knowing who the federal environmental minister is because I don't think a single person knew the answer to that question in the interviews," she said.
Miss Martin said she was very proud to represent Rydal and was thankful for all of their support especially her guests who attended on the night.
"Mudgee Show Society with Bianca Williams did a brilliant job organising it along with Alana and Jacqueline, last years winners and Gavin and Izzy, the masters of ceremony," she said.
"Also a huge thank you to all the girls it was lovely to meet you and good luck in Sydney to the winners Effie Fergusson and Sarah White."

Coordinator of Rydal Showgirl, Margie Lowe said she was very proud of Emma as there was a strong field of 17 girls.
"She is our youngest ever vice president of the Rydal show and she is heavily involved in the Rydal Youth Council and a founding member of the gymkhana," she said.
Ms Lowe said Miss Martin would be a wonderful example for future Rydal showgirls because she was encouraging.
"The zone final was very professionally run with all the girls seeming relaxed and it was well compared, jointly by ABC journalist Gavin Coote and his wife Isabel Hawkin who was our 2016 Rydal showgirl and second runner up in the 2017 Easter Royal Showgirl competition."
Miss Martin also had the support of Alannah Black who was the 2017 Rydal showgirl and 2018 zone finalist who went to Sydney.
"It was lovely seeing all the Rydal involvement," she said.
Elyse Hudson was disappointed to miss the Lithgow show to go and compete at Mudgee but as her last outing with the Lithgow sash she was excited to represent the region.
At the public speaking part of the night Elyse was asked about projects she is working on at Thales as an engineer and her Instagram project titled "#middleofsomewhere".
Elyse said she was naturally disappointed that she didn't get through to the next round but is excited to transition into a showgirl coordinator to help develop local girls.
"The sash has been great for the past 12 months, where I've been trying to get the showgirl role visible and engaged in the community," she said.
"I want people to understand what the showgirl is and what the sash represents."
Miss Martin said she had met many amazing young ladies with different backgrounds and career choices.
"I was very proud to represent Rydal and so thankful for all their support especially all my guests there on the night," she said.
Elyse Hudson said she was excited to represent the region.
