The game saw Metcalf's team in front at the first six ends 8-3 but the Townsend team dug deep with some great shots to only be three shots behind at the 12th end 11/8.
The 13th end Townsend and Thornton led 12/11 but this was to be the only time the pair would be in front as Metcalf and Constable got away with some beautiful draw bowling to jump ahead to a comfortable lead.

Metcalf and Constable have been combining brilliantly and congratulations on winning their first pairs championship 21/13.
The club now goes into the major singles and should see some very good encounters. Good luck to all involved.
