Tiny hidden native animals, made of metal, offer a delightful game for young visitors, while the mining-themed climbing frame and mouse wheel are already proving a favourite with older kids. Lithgow Lions Club offered a free barbecue at the site on Saturday, March 9, as it marked its official opening.
Lithgow City Council mayor, Cr Ray Thompson, said he was very happy to see it had already seen plenty of use.
"I hope the Lithgow community really enjoys this playground. I can see so many people here today, it's been absolutely wonderful," he said.
