The Industrial Relations Commission ordered correctional officers to return to work on Saturday morning, March 9, but the action continued until 8am on Sunday, March 10.
Staff across the state took unauthorised industrial action on Friday in support of staff from Goulburn, who voted to take strike action on Friday morning.
The action was taken in response to recent assaults against staff and a court decision, which reversed a 20-month sentence extension for an assault on a Supermax prison officer in 2017.

A Corrective Services NSW spokeswoman said "CSNSW looks forward to productive discussions with staff and the unions to ensure the ongoing safety of staff".
"Staff safety and security is the highest priority for Corrective Services NSW.
"The Public Service Association raised the issue of staff safety in Goulburn’s High Risk Management Correctional Centre with CSNSW senior management earlier this week and a meeting has been scheduled for Monday."
The spokesperson said they were concerned about the recent judgement in the District Court of Appeal and were actively seeking avenues of appeal.
"CSNSW considers any assault on staff as unacceptable and supports prosecutions of inmates who engage in this behaviour," he said.
