Lithgow Storm club president Peter Morris said it was an opportunity for players and their parents to get some information about the club and meet their coaches.
"It is all about if people have questions on how to register, have questions about who their coaches are, all things like that, just an information day basically, and we've also announced our coaches for 2019," he said.
2019 coaches
- Johnny Bowman - U6s
- Steve McMurtie - U7s
- Brett Nightingale and Jon Brown - U8s
- Daniel Beckett U9s
- Kyle Willmott - U10s
- Todd Campbell - U11s
- Kip Miranda - U12s
- Scott Smith - U13s
- Peter Morris - U14s
- Marty Rushworth - U15s
- Ben Lane, Jason Nunan and Ross Harrington - U16s
Morris also said registrations for the club had been open since the start of February and numbers looked okay.
"Obviously once footy starts we tend to get an abundance of 'em and we're hoping for teams in each grade from U7s through to U16s," he said.
The club also hoped to have an U6s in mini league and also an U11s and U13s side in league tag.
Morris said the Storm looked forward to a good season despite some bad luck last year.
"I mean we had some teams that were pretty unlucky last year, the 15s last year only lost one competition game all year and then lost the grand final.
"So they're looking to go one better and obviously so are the other teams as well," he said.
Morris also urged kids to get involved in rugby league.
"I think it's a very active sport and it's a good game to play with your mates, I reckon it's still the greatest game of all, it's also a lot of fun," he said.
