Fresh from a big night of partying at the club where they celebrated Brock’s 18th birthday, the birthday boy and younger brother Tallon backed up from the night before to play some great golf.
Tallon returned the best stableford score of the day with a massive 46 points which won C grade by a margin of five shots and also gave him the best scratch score in this grade with a 87.
This was an excellent effort considering the very tricky pin placements on the day.
Runner-up Dave Muir looked on target to match Tallon when he amassed 26 points for the front nine but faded over the back nine to come in with 41 points.
Brock celebrated his birthday with a win in A grade when he carded 40 points but had to survive a countback from runner up Justin McCann who also had 40.
Best scratch score in A grade went to Bill Oldfield on 68.
A countback was again needed to separate the B grade place-getters with Rob Hawes emerging winner on 40 points counting out runner up Bob Ritchie.
Best scratch score was Ryan Bannerman with 80 ocb.
Those to play well and figure in the ball competition were Anthony Boza, Dave Hicks, John Griffiths, John Chadwick, Damien Marjoram, Ben Oldfield, John Murnane, Jeff Geddes, Bill Oldfield, Ryan Bannerman, Greg Jackson and Gary Marshall. Balls cut out on 38 points ocb.
Nearest the pin awards went to Dave Hicks, Greg Jackson, Damien Marjoram, Dean Stafford and Anthony Oldfield.
