Mr Green has been creating and building models for most of his life from mine graders to planes, boats and even the Sydney Harbour Bridge, he's got the passion for it all.
He is also a valued member of the Lithgow Men's Shed where he spends most of his time tinkering away.
"I just like going to the Men's Shed where I can put my skills to use, you know I can even make the measurements of something just by looking at it," he said.
Mr Green talks about his craft.
Mr Green said he's made well over 20 models in his time and has been really focused since he retired at 60.
Now aged 71 he spends most of his time at the Men's Shed or in his own little shed of collectibles where he comes up with fascinating ideas for more models.
"I look at images or make them up in my head on how they should look, I mean I'm not up myself but I don't plan my models to come out looking as good as they do," he laughed.
Mr Green said he puts plenty of time and effort into his work and it takes time.

"It drives you crazy sometimes, it can take weeks, months, even years to make depending on the model," he said.
He also said there's a story behind every model.
"I think I've got a lot of patience, I am proud of them, you don't see them anymore either and my ones have all the details that's why it takes so long. They look very realistic," he said.
Mr Green said while he has plenty of favourites, the Harbour Bridge was right up there on his list.
"It's one of my favourites, it took me a year and a half to get all the detail in the structure and even make the water," he said.
Another favourite for Mr Green is the Mine Grader at Clarence.
"It's the first one I built and I use to drive that thing underground," he said.
Mr Green has won numerous ribbons at shows and his model of the Blast Furnace is located at Club Lithgow and his mine system creation is in Council.
He also said he would be entering Lithgow Show again so he can show off his models.
"I like to talk about my models and show them off, a lot of hard work goes into them.
"I'm looking forward to the show for people to acknowledge my models because that is the only place you can really see them and I want them to be seen," he said.
