A 32-year-old Lithgow man who is disqualified from driving has been charged after allegedly being caught for his 14th time behind the wheel on the Great Western Highway near Lithgow at 1pm on Tuesday, February 12.

Police stated he was recognised as a habitual driver by officers and pulled over, arrested and taken back to Lithgow Police Station where he was charged.
As it was the offender’s 14th charge for driving while disqualified, he was refused bail and faced Lithgw Local Court on Thursday, February 14. No further information was available at the time of printing.
Lithgow Information Centre break and enter
There was an attempt made to break in to Lithgow Information Centre between the hours of 3am and 4.30am on Wednesday, February 13.
Police were called to the scene to find someone had unscrewed a cover off a vent.
While they had access into the centre nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Chifley Road break in
A break in at a Chifley Road address occurred between the hours of 4pm on Sunday, February 10 and 8am Monday, February 11.
There was damage to a rear door and a gas heater was stolen.
Police were notified and are currently investigating.
