Prison officers observed the older man drop a white balloon into a cup on the table and then slide the cup across to his nephew. The cup was seized and the balloon was found to contain 78 strips (3.8 grams) of buprenorphine.
Taser
Bowenfels woman Angie Gardiner, 37, was convicted of possessing a prohibited weapon, a taser, in Lithgow Local Court on January 31.
The court heard police searched a parked car in which Gardiner was sitting on October 16, 2018. When she was asked if she was in possession of anything restricted, she volunteered that she carried a taser, which she produced for police.
It was found to be fully functional.
She was sentenced to serve out a 12 month Community Corrections Order.
