The group of Marina Oldman, Kerry Smith, Michelle Clutterham and Sonia Kennedy will be raising funds for the Fred Hollows Foundation.
The Fred Hollows Foundation is an an international development organisation working towards eliminating avoidable blindness and improving Indigenous Australian health.
The group has collectively raised $2287 so far with all funds raised going towards supporting The Foundation's sight-restoring work across the world.
“The target they set for you is $2000 so we have already raised that money, but the more we raise the better it is,” Marina Oldman said.
Marina originally spotted the trek on a website and decided to get her friends involved.
“This is the first time we are doing it as a team effort, we have done different things individually but we are just so excited because it is in Sydney and we want to see the Coastline,” she said.

The 30 kilometre hike will take place from Rushcutters Bay via Sydney headlands to Manly.
The team has been training as much as they can, due to their busy schedule.
“It’s a 30 kilometre walk so it takes as long as it takes, some teams may finish faster and some slower and some may not even finish,” she said.
“It isn’t like a run, it’s not a competition, it is just based on effort and raising money and awareness of this charity.”
Ms Oldman said that this charity was important for many people in Australia and around the world.
“Restoring the sight for people is important but I don’t think it’s fun being blind and it is quite important to carry on that legacy,” she said.
Ms Oldman said that the team would be very grateful if people would donate to the cause.
“We want to get Lithgow’s name out there because majority of the teams participating are from Sydney and they don’t even know where Lithgow is located, so that would be good,” she said.
