He took 7-4 as he carved through the Hampton line-up, taking out five batsmen before they could even find a run. Wickets also went to Ben Sheehan and Nic Kenniff as Hampton slumped to a total of 30 runs.
While Hampton’s defence got off to a good start, with Rob Arnott catching opener Ben Sheehan out off his own bowling for 2, Eli Felton and Nick Miller combined to quickly score the rest of the runs required.
Lithgow Hotel 1 v Portland 1
Portland 1 found the going tough against the bowling attack of Lithgow Hotel 1.
After losing Shane Green for no score, Sam Cameron dug in, making 27 runs and the top score of the innings. Portland finished on 68.
In the Hotel’s bowling attack, Kobe Hunter claimed two wickets, as did Blake Caldwell and Matt McManus. Jon Cronin and Kevin Horner each took one.

Jon Cronin, batting in the number two spot for Lithgow Hotel, wasted no time in piling on 31 not out. He was the top scorer for the innings and, with help from Matt McManus (19), Hotel took the win.
Portland’s Brendan Miles and Dan Scott each took a wicket.
La Salle Hornets v Lidsdale
La Salle Hornets did not lose a wicket as they chased the 148 total set by Lidsdale.
Lidsdale’s innings was spearheaded by 81 runs from Brendan Roach, supported by Phil Wright on 28.
Will Brown was the best of La Salle’s bowlers, taking 2-12, with wickets also going to Richard Wheeler (1-27) and Lachlan McMahon (1-3).
There was no satisfaction for the Lidsdale bowlers, as openers Brendan Lloyd and David Glasson settled in. Lloyd finished on 74 not out and David Glasson 69 not out to win the match without the loss of a wicket.
DUCK POND
Aron Crowder’s victims populated the duck pond this week. At his hands, Hampton batsmen Rob Arnott, Matt Palmer, Mick Byrne, Matt McDonald and Al George all went for a swim with no score.
Portland’s Shane Green fell for a duck off the bowling of Lithgow Hotel’s Kobe Hunter. He was joined by teammate Braith Green.
