It was a very special first week for the kindergarten students at St Joseph’s Primary School in Portland on Friday, February 1 as they got to celebrate a birthday.
When the Lithgow Mercury spoke to brand new St Joseph’s student Lori Lampton, she said the most exciting part of being at school was “getting to play in the sand pit”.
There are just 10 kindergarten students with only two boys but everyone is looking forward to a fun-filled year.
The Kindergarten, Year 1 and 2 class is taught by Mrs Simone Taylor.
Lake Galli, another kindergarten student, was absent.
