CSU Wagga student Casey Robson, 21, was named the 2019 Rydal Showgirl, while Show treasurer David Black was recognised for his work with a Royal Agricultural Society of NSW medal for his service.
Mr Black has served as treasurer for the show for more than 20 years.
In a tribute to him on its Facebook page, the Rydal Show stated he “is an invaluable member of our Show Society”.

In presenting the medal, RAS representative from Mudgee Hunter White said the society recognised it had been a tough year for farming communities.
“Nothing means more to us than the volunteers who serve our communities,” he said.
“We’ve offered this award… to acknowledge outstanding service to the community.”
