Police stated that the accident occurred due to wet road conditions, which caused the vehicle to slide.
All three women were taken to Nepean hospital in a serious but stable condition for treatment.
Lithgow Police urged those travelling on roads at night to take extra precautions.
Warning on scammers
Chifley Police District has warned people in the region to be wary of dodgy travelling tradespeople.
“Men with Irish accents and wearing hgh visibility shirts are door knocking, mainly in the West Bathurst area,” Chifley Police District warned via Facebook.
The men, who claim to be tradespeople installing roofs, solar panels or diverways, ask for a deposit but often do not return.
Police warned that those that did return did not carry out the work promised. They warned that the scammers usually targeted older areas of townships, or small properties on the outskirts of town.
“If persons fitting this description call on you, do not hand over any money of sign any documentation,” police urged.
“Call police at once and get a registration of their vehicle if at all possible.”
