As predicted, local drivers used their knowledge of the slippery granite surface to reign supreme in the third round of the Newcastle Street Stocker Series held at the Burson Auto Parts Cullen Bullen Raceway last Saturday afternoon hosted by the Portland District Motor Sports Club.

Former Cullen Bullen resident Andrew Blackley, now of Bathurst, blasted his Commodore through the torrid tough twenty five lap feature to claim the laurels from Andrew Fuller and Portland local Mitchell Duggan with Fuller’s brother David taking fourth place.
Australian Street Stocker Champion Shane could only manage fifth spot in the sensational race ahead of Tim Cartwright, Brendan Meyers and local lady Shanyn Duggan, Mitchell’s younger sister, romping home in a very creditable eighth place.
Larger than life Brendan Wakeman took ninth place ahead of Max Cotton to round out the top ten while Blayney lady lead foot Sarah Bradley filled 15th spot at the wheel of her impeccable Commodore.
Western Sydney youngster Jake Clark won the Junior class feature and the point score from fellow Sydney-sider Dean Giffin and Jaden Clark who made his very impressive racing debut.

Blayney baker Matt Hutchison claimed the Limited Sedan class point score over the Clark boys, Adrian and Shane.
Gary Morris was just too good in the Speedway Karts KT100cc class feature over Layne Stace and Tony Bell while Dan Morris took the number one podium spot in the KT125cc class from Craig Blanch and Alan Llewellyn.
Rounding out the competitive classes were the open wheeler Quarter Midgets proudly sponsored by Endless Belts.
NSW number one Rob Stephenson again dominated the proceedings and the point score with Shania Edwards taking second place on the podium from the ever trying Tom Clark.
The 2018-19 speedway season continues on Saturday, February 16 at the Burson Auto Parts Cullen Bullen Raceway featuring the Sydney RSA Fender Benders and the superbly restored Vintage Speedcars hosted by the Portland District Motor Sports Club.
