He blitzed the field during Saturday’s single bisque verses par event with a great round of golf.
A bisque event sees golfers able to use their allotted shots on any desired hole regardless of the index.
The event was sponsored by Geoff and Sue Brooks and if any golfers or group of golfers wanting to sponsor an even in 2019, they can contact captain Max Nightingale.
The talented Tallon came in with a brilliant plus 11 to take out C grade and again cut his handicap by a sizeable chunk.
Runner up was another promising junior with Ben Oldfield finishing with an excellent plus 9 with Ben also scoring the best scratch score with 82.
Cock ‘o the Walk champion Dave Thompson was again in good form to take out A grade with plus 8 with runner up Max Nightingale one back on plus 7.
Best scratch score in A grade came from Justin McCann with a sensational five under par 67.
B grade went to Graham Dean on plus 8 who also registered the best scratch score with 77.
Runner up was Geoff Wheeler on plus 7.
Nearest the pin awards went to Michael Hunter, Justin McCann, Bill Oldfield, Carlos Garibotto and Tom Jennings.
Those to score well and figure in the ball competition were Nathan Harris, Paul Bosman, Damien Marjoram, Brad Preston, Paul Bailey, Paul Stewart, Dave Warren, Rob George and Tony Potts.
Gold Medal play offs
This Saturday (January 26) heralds the first of the major events at the Lithgow Golf Club when they stage the gold medal play offs in each grade.
Those that are eligible to contest the gold medals are golfers that have won monthly medals during 2018.
Those monthly qualifiers for gold are as follows in A, B and C sequence:
- January: Steve Hall, Dave Hicks and Dean Stafford.
- February: Darren Hunter, Don Farnsworth and Mick Dewar.
- March: Bill Oldfield, Dean Stafford John Griffiths.
- April: Ross Harrington, Graham Dean and Brian Giblett.
- May: Ross Harrington, Pat Wall and Ron Evans.
- June: Steve Hall, Carlos Garibotto and Alex Dengate.
- July: Justin Nelson, Kev Hanrahan and Tom Jennings.
- August: Darren Hunter, Bob Charlton and Brian Giblett.
- September: Harry Bender, Chris Marjoram and Geoff Wheeler.
- October: Max Nightingale, Dave Warren and Ken Mitchell.
- November: Steve Hall, Simon Mobbs and Peter Thompson.
- December: Steve Hall, Brock and Tallon Egan.
