As part of Lithgow City Council’s 2018/19 capital works program, a number of roads across the Local Government Area have been identified as requiring remedial work.
As part of this program the following roads have been identified as requiring remedial works:
- Tank / Clarice Lane, Lithgow (asphalt reseal from Read Avenue to End);
- Clarice Street, Lithgow (asphalt reseal from Read Avenue to End);
- Lett Street, Lithgow (asphalt reseal from Cook Street to End); and
- Glen Alice Road, Bogee (bitumen seal of the remaining unsealed section 2.5 kilometres from the Bogee bridge)
According to council these roads require immediate restoration in order to ensure the safety of road users and better serve the community.
As such, within the month of January contract asphalt and bitumen teams and machinery will be on site to re-mediate and re-seal the above mentioned sections, weather permitting.
Works will include the removal of the existing seal and reseal of the affected areas.

Improvements such as increased consistency of shoulder width and improved driving conditions are also a requirement of this work, council said.
Lithgow Council expects these scheduled improvements will serve to increase both driver safety and comfort and greatly reduce maintenance expenditure in these areas.
Residents are urged to note that traffic conditions may change in these areas. Please exhibit caution and patience while travelling through the area.
