The young Wolves will compete in the Group 10 competition, where they will take on older teams from Mudgee, Oberon and Cowra.
Coach Charlie Healey said the team had been slowly building their way to the more competitive field.
“I’ve coached the girls for two years in U14s and U16s, I think moving to U18s will be a learning curve for them.
“After a couple of years together we should have good form and we will be competitive,” he said.
Healey said 97 per cent of the team were still eligible to play U16s, but he saw the move to a higher grade an advantage for them.
“They were coming up against older girls anyways, so this will be better for them in the long run,” he said.
He also hoped to see more spectators at their games.
“I think adding this third team is good for the club, the younger ones will also have support from their parents and friends, so I’d expect to see crowds,” he said.
Healey said the team were also still looking for more players to join.
“They have to be at least 15 years-old to take the field, I’m hoping a lot of girls will take interest.
“I think it’s a great sport for them, it’s a great concept and is only getting bigger and better, we would love to see some more faces,” he said.
The Wolves will be holding a muster day at Tony Luchetti Showground on Wednesday, January 23 at 4.30pm.
Healey urged those interested to come along and for anyone with questions to contact himself on 0407 471 771 or manager Dara Rushworth on 0414 879 715.
