Collins started with the Bears in 2014 and has played approximately 48 games overall and in 2018 Collins received the Best and Fairest award and Highest Point Scorer.
In 2017, he received the Jeremy ‘Jezza’ Fittler memorial award for the most consistent player of the year as well as the highest point scorer.
Collins played in the fullback position, being one of the shortest players on the field, he managed to save many tackles, score numerous tries, received refs points and came fifth for the best goal kicker in the whole 2017 New Era Cup Football Competition.
Collins turns up to games each week with a positive attitude and never give ups.
Greg ‘Whale’ Smith is a long time Bears life member who has been involved with the Bears Club for over 20 years as a committee member and volunteer.
Smith’s wife Kath and kids Emma and Jack have also been involved with the Bears for a long time.
Although for the past few years Smith has watched his wife and daughter play League Tag, he has decided to put his long term footy knowledge to the test and coach the 2019 League Tag team.
Smith received the Ian Ryan Memorial Club person of the year award in 1993 and again in 1997.
