The picturesque lake played host for its second year in a row, showcasing fireworks by Howard and Sons pyrotechnics and entering 2019 with a bang.
People flooded the shores of the lake, with some camping the night.
“I was walking around and just started to randomly count some campsites, I got to about 214 then stopped because there was just people everywhere,” Wallerawang Lidsdale Progress Association secretary Ros Francis said.
There was plenty to do for everyone with more food stalls than last year, bubble soccer, market stalls, a rock climbing wall and live entertainment.
“It was really good, even though it rained on and off there was quite a few people, just as much as last year, and everyone was really happy with a variety of things on offer, we had around 18-20 market stalls,” Ms Francis said.
I'm really happy with all the positive comments we've received, it's just wonderful.

Ms Francis also said she was happy with the turnout and the event played out a little different to last year [2017].
“It was different because people had more things to see and do, I’m really happy with all the positive comments we’ve received, it’s just wonderful,” she said.
Ms Francis said the committee were starting to plan next years’ event already.
“We will definitely be doing it again next year, I’ve already started planning again and organising market stalls,” she said.
She also wanted to thank sponsors of the event for their continuous support.
