It was a 9 holes fun day with players’ names drawn out to represent either the President or Captain.
Captain Pat Livermore unfortunately was unable to be present due to the recent death of her sister and the ladies extend sincere sympathy to Pat and her family.
Vice president Anne stepped up in place of the Captain and her team were the winners with 26 points. The single winner was Robyn Houlison with a good score of 21 points.
A luncheon was held at Black Gold Restaurant and the yearly prizes were presented to the winners. Gold medals were won by Lynne Ritchie in 1st Division while Carol Osborne continued her success in 2nd Division, winning her first gold medal.
The most chip-ins for the year was won by Patty Aidulis with 23 a long way in front of the next player.
Season’s pointscore was won by Sue Brooks with 60 points with Lynne Ritchie the runner-up on 53.
The Stroke Classic, which is the aggregate of the six best stroke scores over the year was won by Lynne Ritchie with 444 nett and Sue Brooks was runner up with 447 nett.
The veterans winners were also presented with their prizes.
Country Championship gross winners in their respective divisions were Lynne Ritchie, Di McGuire and Pat Livermore with the nett winner Judy Charman, Janice Cohen, Margaret Café and Senior Vet Anne Doohan.
The Mabel Mackenzie Brooch is a nett event and the winners again in their respective divisions were Lynne Ritchie, Anne Doohan, Margaret Café and senior Vet Pat Livermore.

The ladies’ regular competition is now in recess until January 23, however a 9 holes ball competition will be played on Wednesdays and Fridays until then.
Arrange your own partner or have you name in at 9am for a draw.
Best wishes to a couple of regular players who are on the sick or injured list, Trish Beljon fell in the carpark at the golf club and has done much damage to her face and jaw, Beryl MacDonald fell down the stairs at her grandson’s house and broke her hip and Malva McDonald underwent a heart operation recently.
Hope you are on the mend and back on the fairways soon.
