Roley Casey Trophy 2018

The final of the LASA competitions for 2018 was held last week at The Workies with the running of the Roley Casey Trophy. This entails 16 ranked players who have accumulated points over the competition rounds of both the Terry Longdon Memorial and John Zorz Trophies. Each competition round there are 36 players and the highest 16 individual scores accumulate points from the highest score getting five then flow on down to the 16th highest score gets one that leads to the top 16 ranking. The Roley Casey is a seeded draw for example 1 versus 16, 2 versus 15, 3 versus 14 etc. and it is elimination games to get to the final. After 35 competition rounds the top 16 were finalised and the there was only one nonattendance so the first reserve player was put in. All up there were 15 games played and the Final came down to two Jiggers teammates Justin Nelson the 2017 Roley Casey Trophy winner verses Kyle Lewis and in a very tense game it was Kyle Lewis who deservedly became the 2018 Roley Casey Trophy champion and it was his very first individual title.
