Have you ever thought about growing a bottlebrush?
One of the most tolerant of our native plants, they will grow in a range of soil types and will put up with even some of the extreme temperatures of our district. They are ideal plants for the Lithgow district.
Lithgow and District Community Nursery in Coalbrook Street has a number of species available now in tubestock.
Tubestock grow quicker than more established trees without being knocked back by repotting processes.
Available at the moment are Callistemon pityoides, Callistemon citrinus, Callistemon sieberi and Callistemon linearis.
The nursery is open on Mondays, Fridays from 9.30am to 3.30pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
