A successful term four of Aussie Hoops came to an end at Lithgow Basketball Association on Tuesday, December 4.
The kids were under the guidance of David Swift and Heidi Inwood, who took pleasure in watching the kids learn new basketball skills.
The aspiring players practised shooting, dribbling, passing, defence and attack skills over the eight weeks.
“The kids have been terrific, they have just improved out of sight,” Inwood said.
This was Inwood’s first time helping out with Aussie Hoops but she said she absolutely loved it.
“These kids have just so much enthusiasm for basketball that it is an absolute pleasure to help them,” she said.
Lithgow Basketball director Richard Marjoram said he appreciated the time Inwood and Swift gave up to help run the program this term.
“They volunteered their time to run the program and they’ve done a really good job, and all the kids have really enjoyed themselves,” he said.
