Rydal Village Association president Phil Paton told Lithgow City Council’s meeting on November 26 there had been an $80,000 provision for the project.
“This money has been redirected by council to other projects a number of times now and we [the residents] want to know when the money will be made available.”
He noted several other similar projects had recently been carried out, including at Blast Furnace Park.
Mr Paton was assured by council staff that the funds would be available and the project continued to be on the council’s agenda. The process of finding a suitable block for the project is still under way.
