The Workies Women’s Bowling Club held a very successful Versatility Sixes carnival with teams coming from Penrith, Lawson, Lithgow Workies, Lithgow City, Oberon, Wallerawang and Bathurst Magellan.

A total of 24 teams took part.
The weather was perfect with the very good team from Lawson taking out the prize money with the only team making the maximum four wins.
The two Workies teams came in second and third with three wins each plus margins.
This completion is proving to be very popular with both greens full making for a great day.
The winning team from Lawson included: Robyn Fitzpatrick, Pam Watson, Mona Soergel, Caroline Spilstead, Margaret Lalor and Chris Semmlar.
Runner-up was the Lithgow Workies team of Noela Williams, Deidre Stubbs Paula McGaulley Robyn Brown Dianne Crook Barbara Kapusta .Third Lithgow Workies
In third place was the Lithgow Wokires team made up of Gail Coates, Cynthia Thornton, Judy Kennedy, Cheryl Schram, Lesley Townsend and Sue Metcalf.
