EnergyAustralia has organised the event, which will be open from 11am until 7pm at the Civic Ballroom’s supper room on George Coates Avenue. Staff will be available to answer questions.
The organisers state it will include information on Mt Piper, including energy recovery, the water treatment plant, as well as how the 25-year-old coal-fired plant works. There will also be information about the rehabilitation program at the nearby decommissioned Wallerawang site.
People having trouble understanding or paying their energy bills will be able to speak to an EnergyAustralia rep.
