The Lithgow Golf Club’s greens are just about back to their very best and the scores in Saturday’s single stableford event showed that golfers were taking full advantage of the conditions.

Scores in each grade were exceptional with all grade winning scores being in the 40s.
In A grade, the consistent John Chadwick again showed his class with a score of 41 points to just edge out Travis Cameron on 40.
Steve Hall returned the best scratch score in this grade with a 72 ocb.
Greg Jackson continued his excellent form finishing with 44 points with runner up Carlos Garibotto hot on his heels on 43 points.
Best scratch score went to Greg Hunter on 76.
Al Mostyn has been the ‘hot’ golfer in C grade in recent weeks and also showed some excellent form during his week away on the Gold Coast with the Lithgow golfing contingent.

He finished with the best stableford score of the day amassing 45 points and his days in C grade are sure to be numbered.
He also returned the best C grade scratch score with 82.
Runner-up to Mostyn was Brad Preston on 38 ocb.
Balls in the ball competition cut out on 38 points ocb.
Nearest the pin winners were Greg Jackson, Brad Gordon (2), Dick Mara and Dave Titcume.
Wednesday nine hole event (Nov 14):
Winner: Brian Quick 30, runner up Nev Kerrison 29 and Geoff Houlison 28.
Nearest the pins went to Jeff Geddes and Mark Bennett.
Friday nine hole comp (Nov 16):
Winner: Brian Giblett 27; runner up Don Farnsworth 26.
Nearest the pin was Don Farnsworth and balls cut out on 24 ocb.
Saturday’s event will be a stroke event with the monthly medals being held in conjunction.
