It was a rough road to the State competition, as Clues fought his way back from a fractured shoulder – a souvenir from his time at the State Rugby League Championships.
He thanked his Springwood coach and mentor Rick Berrell for his help in the lead up to the event.

Emeric Tauolo Fuamatu finished eighth in the shot put with 10.55m and Taliya Tauolo Fuamatu was 13th in discus with 27.57.

Ryan Wells continued his good form in the high jump, finishing fifth on a countback in the 11 years boys.
Blake Fittler finished eighth in the senior boys shotput and also competed in the discus. Dylan McClean was also solid in the field of the 11 years boys discus competition.
Isabella Wells represented her region in the junior girls shotput and Deklin Unsworth was part of the senior boys shotput contingent.
