A man has been flown to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in the Blue Mountains this morning.

About 1.55am on Wednesday morning, October 31, emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, near Staples Crescent, Lawson, after reports a vehicle struck a barrier.
The driver – and sole occupant – a man believed to be aged in his 30s, was treated at the scene before being flown to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from Blue Mountains Police District established a crime scene.
Inquiries are underway into the circumstances surrounding the crash and any witnesses are urged to come forward.
