A Lithgow man has sustained chest injuries after coming off his bicycle near Hassan’s Wall Lookout on Monday afternoon, October 29.

CareFlights rapid response helicopter transported the 47 year old man from Lithgow to Westmead Hospital.
The cyclist who sustained chest injuries was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance and taken by road ambulance to Lithgow Hospital before the decision was made to task CareFlight, shortly before 5pm.
CareFlight’s specially trained critical care doctor and paramedic were on board the helicopter that landed at the hospital.
They continued to treat the man during the flight to Westmead Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
