A SPATE of thefts at Jenolan Caves has resulted in a warning from Chifley Police District officers for the public to be vigilant.

Chifley officers took to social media to issue the warning after vehicles were broken into at the popular tourist site.
“Three motor vehicles were broken into and a large amount of property stolen,” police said in the social media post.
In one instance the offenders have fraudulently used the victim’s bank card at several locations in Oberon.

Chifley police officers have urged the public not to leave any valuables in their cars.
“If you are a victim of this type of fraud, please contact your financial institution immediately,” the alert said.
