The Lithgow Valley Film Society is screening a classic movie this week titled ‘Goodnight Mister Tom’ (1998, PG).
John Thaw and Nick Robinson star in this prize-winning movie about cantankerous old Tom Oakley at the start of the second world war.
Tom finds life in the village of Little Weirwold is set to change when nine year old Willie Beach is evacuated from London and billeted with him.
Willie is a quite, sad young boy with a deprived past, but he slowly begins to flourish under the care of Mister Tom and begins to enjoy an idyllic village life.
Screenings will be held on Friday, October 19 at 10.30am and Sunday, October 21 at 2pm.
Screenings are held at the Main Street community cinema in Lithgow.
