Lithgow City Council’s Community Development Officer, Viktoria Gulabovski said the rain didn’t dampen the spirits of stall holders and attendees. 

“It was super successful and amazing and we had a consistent flow of people turning up including library patrons, the Lithgow City mayor and councillors,” she said. 

The Lions Club held a sausage sizzle while the Ukulele group performed and the Wallerawang Beat your Drum group played their drums.

Guitarist Malachi also performed some soothing melodies for library patrons.

“The place was buzzing with positivity and you could really feel a sense of belonging,” she said. 

Other stall holders included ladies from the Thai Massage Centre and Michelle from Inner Peace Tea.

“We wanted some alternative therapy stalls because not everyone copes the same with mental health,” Ms Gulabovski said. 

In 2017 there was only 30 stall holders so Ms Gulabovski was impressed they managed to get 50. 

“I think there may be more mental health awareness and it also offers a great networking opportunity for people,” she said.

“We wanted it to be in a public space where people might incidentally come across it and see what is happening and I think we achieved that goal.”
