Charlotte had 37cm of her hair cut off on Friday, September 21 by special guest hairdresser Maree Statham.
“I’m very ready, very excited,” Charlotte said before the chop.
As well as cutting off 37cm of hair, Charlotte has been raising money for the Variety charity.
Charlotte managed to raise $3175.09 through her online fundraising page, which surpassed her target of $3000.
Charlotte also managed to raise $581.40 through her raffle and $116.30 from students and staff from Zig Zag Public schools mufti day.
It costs nearly $6000 for a human hair wig, which may only last for 1-2 years, so the money raised will go towards helping families with the cost of buying a wig.
Students watched as Charlotte’s hair was cut and asked her questions about what she was doing and why.
When asked if she is likely to cut her hair again she replied without hesitation.
“Definitely,” she said.
