Lithgow singer-songwriter Kay Shaw will be launching her debut album ‘Here I Stand’ at an event at the Lithgow Workies showroom on October 13 at 7pm.

The CD, which features David Evans and a modern contemporary Christian sound, has been in production for several years.
Recorded in Brisbane, the songs focus on Kay’s spiritual journey.

Kay said proceeds from the sale of the album would go towards suicide prevention. She said she was inspired to make the donation after her own experiences as a teenager.
“I changed my life and found a relationship with God and that’s how I came to be here,” she said.
“I think this album is very uplifting, and motivating.”
At the album launch, Kay said she would be sharing some of her own personal story as well as performing a few of the songs from the album. The night would feature a special international guests, whose identity will be kept under wraps for the time being, she said. Supper will be provided.
“I’m so excited to share my journey with my local community,” Kay said.
Following her launch in Lithgow, Kay said she would be heading overseas to tour the CD in the US, focusing on churches and Christian groups.
