Jeff Bowden has taken out the Wallerawang community and sports clubs minor singles title for 2018. After accounting for Greg Anderson in the semifinals, Howden then took on Greg Hilliard.

Both players began well with the scores level on several occasions. Hilliard got to a 9-6 lead but Howden chased him down before leading 17-13.
From this stage it was all Howden as he won seven of the next eight ends to take the title 31-15.
In a triples game Dave Nunan, Steve Jackson and Dick Bulkily took on Crain Brown, Craig Pugsley and Peter Piggott. Once again the scores were even on four all and nine all, 14 all and then 19 all.
Jackson picked up a three to lead 22-20 but Piggott took control to finish the best with 25-22 win.
In the socials Ray Palmer and Ian McMillan just outlasted Graham Haley and Bruce Robinson with win 16-44.
Jeff Howden Continued his good form as he and Curtis Brown defeated Greg Anderson and roy Edwards 20-17 after they trailed 11 nil earlier.
In the coming weeks we have fours closing October 6. The Marjellan challenge is on November 25 at Bathurst. The four club challenge is played at Portland on October 15 so get your names in, please.
