On Saturday, September 22 Lithgow station on Silcock Street will be handing out material on how to get ready for the fire season and how you can stay protected.
NSW Rural Fire Brigades will host more than 600 events across the state featuring firefighting vehicle displays, information stands, kids activities and workshops.
This is an opportunity for families to have fun, get to know their local firefighters, find out about the local fire risk and learn just how easy it is can be to prepare for the bush fire season.
NSW Rural fire service are implementing five steps for people to follow if they are unsure about what steps to take to reduce the risk in a bush fire.
