More than 900 students were expected to take part in the Careers Expo, which ran sessions throughout the day.
The annual Lithgow High School careers day invites education providers and employers to come together and help students make informed choices about their future career paths.
The breakfast brought together businesses that had hosted students during their recent work experience.
“The breakfast is a great opportunity to thank all the organisations who had work experience students and engage community support for students in the future,” LHS LHS careers advisor Rebecca Hamment said.
Principal Ann Caro said the school was working hard, in collaboration with council, to develop programs to support students into the workforce, and build respectful behaviours.
“We want to send kids out with the skills they need to be successful,” she said.
Ms Hamment said she was very happy with the response to the Careers Expo from parents, who were very interested in the choices on show.
“The kids are really excited to take advantage of all the different types of information available,” she said.
The careers expo included representatives from universities, trades and skills education as well as large employers from the district.
Thanks went to the hard working food technology students, who prepared breakfast for more than 50 guests on Wednesday morning.
