A TEENAGER has been charged after a fatal single-vehicle crash in the Central West in April.

Just after 8.30am on Saturday, April 7 emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash at a property on the Castlereagh Highway at Cudgegong.
Police will allege a Toyota Hilux utility was reversing on the property when it rolled down an embankment.

The front passenger, an 18-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle, trapping him.
First aid was administered before the arrival of paramedics, however the man died.
The driver, a 17-year old boy, and two passengers, aged 17 and 18, were not injured.
The driver was taken to Mudgee Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District established a crime scene and with the assistance of the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Following inquiries, a 17-year-old boy was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice on Saturday for the offences of dangerous driving occasioning death – drive under influence and possess prohibit drug
He is due to appear before a Children’s Court in October.
A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner.
